Dr. Bob McClung grew up in Seneca County. He completed his veterinary studies at The Ohio State University in 1976. He returned to Tiffin and began practicing with his father in a mixed animal practice. He continues to enjoy the challenges of a mixed animal practice and in the past few years has seen this expand to an area covering 6-7 counties. He has been in his current location since 2003. Since then he has overseen the acquisition of AAHA accreditation along with multiple advances in new technology to bring to his clients and their pets the latest in veterinary technology. He enjoys orthopedic surgery along with the challenges of tumor removal. He is also skilled with cosmetic ear crops and utilizes the surgical laser for these procedures.
Dr. Bob is closely involved with the technology of immuno therapy. He is currently doing research for Ramaekers Nutrtion who is a leader in the developing of products for virtually all species. The addition of these products has allowed him to have increased success in the treatments for cancer, viruses, bacteria to name a few.
He is a member of the OVMA, AAEP, AABP and is a past officer for NCOVA, He served as a delagate for 6 years to the OVMA Board. He is a member of Rotary International and serves the youth of Seneca County as Fair Veterinarian since 1976. He shares his life with his wife Jan of 40 years. They have 3 sons, and 4 grandchildren whom they enjoy very much. They also have 4 dogs, 9 cats, and numerous sheep and cattle to keep them busy.
Registered VeterinaryTechnicians are an integral part of our team. They assist the doctor with your pet in all areas of the hospital, from drawing blood for labwork, monitoring your pet during surgical procedures, acting as surgical assistant to the doctor as well as providing nursing care and attention to our critically ill patients just to name a few. Our Veterinary Technicians work under the direction of the veterinarian. Educational requirement is a graduate of a 2 year program accreditated by the AVMA (American Veterinarian Medical Association) along with the successful passage of the exam to become properly registered. Their patients not only include dogs and cats but also the unusual at Animal Hospital of Tiffin.
Janelle Turpin, RVT is a veterinary technician at Animal Hospital of Tiffin. She has been taking care of your pets at the hospital for the past 6 years. She is a graduate of Stazenberger College and has also been an instructor at Brown Mackie College.
Nancy Price RVT has been at Animal Hospital of Tiffin for 4 years. She is a graduate of Baker College of Flint and works closely with the patients of the Animal Hospital.
Linda Romanko is our go to person in the front office. If you have a question she generally knows the answer or knows where to get the answer. She has worked with Dr. Bob for over 10 years and greets everyone with a smile!
